‘LF15 / A 4’33” Walk To Woburn Sands Station’ is a collaboration between myself and from Mortality Tables (Documentary Evidence – an unofficial Mute Records website), as part of the LIFEFILES series.

The idea behind the project was for me to create a response to the audio that Mat provided, which are snapshots of life, places, people and moments in time.

This track began life as a 4min 33sec recording of Mat walking to the train station in Woburn Sands. The footsteps provided the tempo of the track, and it evolved from there. It was a really enjoyable and creative collaboration.

I have known Mat Smith for many years, he is a hugely creative and talented writer, and a great friend. It was a pleasure to be a part of this project.
